<p>The present invention concerns a process for the production of veneer. Wood is pre-processed to get boards of a desired thickness. The boards are then joined to form a beam of desired dimensions. The beam is formed by gluing and pressing the boards together. During the entire process of producing the veneer, the wood is kept below the FSP (fibre saturation point).</p>
