<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine which facilitates work for mounting a removable treatment unit on a backrest part and which enables adjustment of a position of treatment of a person to be treated in a state of the treatment unit being mounted and moreover can be made compact in a state of the treatment unit being removed. <P>SOLUTION: The chair type massage machine 1 includes the right and left separate treatment units 7A which are mounted removably on the right and left lateral portions of the backrest part 3, and locking mechanisms 110 which fix these units in a mounted state.
