MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electronic control unit which obtains waterproof and vibration-proof functions of an entire substrate while preventing the enter atmospheric pressure sensor from being covered by a potting material serving as a water and vibration resistant material.

SOLUTION: An atmospheric air communication hole 12 formed at a ceiling wall 9 of a sensor protection case 7 is closed with a removable closing body 13, and a potting material 14 is injected into a substrate case 5 at the exterior side of the sensor protection case 7. Air pressure in the sensor protection case 7 inhibits the potting material 14 from flowing in from a gap between a peripheral wall 8 of the sensor protection case 7 and the substrate 1 and thereby setting the height of a surface of the potting material 14 inside the sensor protection case 7 so as to be lower than the height of a surface of the potting material 14 outside the sensor protection case 7 and covering the entire substrate 1 with the potting material 14 without covering the entire atmospheric pressure sensor 2 with the potting material 14.
