<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber drawing furnace capable of effectively suppressing waste of energy. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber drawing furnace 10 includes: a heating furnace 13 that heats a glass preform for optical fiber 11 connected to a dummy rod 12; and an upper chamber 16 that is established at an upper part of the heating furnace 13 and houses the glass preform for optical fiber 11. On a lateral inner surface of the upper chamber 16, a plurality of projection parts having slopes 18 facing obliquely downward is formed, provided that the surfaces of the slopes 18 are formed from a reflector 17a that reflects light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
