<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mower surely preventing catching-in of grass. <P>SOLUTION: The mower 10 includes a hollow shaft 1, an engine 2, a cylindrical holder 3, and a rotary saw 4. The shaft 1 has an operating handle 22 at an intermediate part, and holds a driving shaft 12 rotatably. The engine 2 is fixed to the base end of the shaft 1, and has an output shaft 21 for transmitting torque to the driving shaft 12. The holder 3 is fixed to the tip part of the shaft 1, and holds a rotary shaft 31 to which torque is transmitted from the driving shaft 12. The rotary saw 4 is fixed to the tip part of the rotary shaft 31 projected from the holder 3. The rotary saw 4 has a cylindrical surrounding member 41 opened at the upper part to surround the holder 3. Heat radiation air from a rotary fan 22 disposed inside the engine 2 is radially blasted toward a part above the surrounding member 41 from a plurality of blast holes 3h opened in the holder 3, through the shaft 1.
