Glass for use in the scattering layer of an organic LED element containing, in terms of mole percent of oxides, B2O3 in the amount of 26-43%, ZnO in the amount of 30-37%, Bi2O3 in the amount of 17-23%, SiO2 in the amount of 2-21%, and P2O5 in the amount of 0-2%, wherein the total amount of B2O3 and ZnO contained therein is 78% or less.
