Novelty: system and method assisting the location of a cell phone. Function: The telephone number and the knowledge of the wider region stretching some kilometres around a city where the cell phone is located suffice for the operation of said system which is based on the forced emission of radio-waves from the cell phone (at the detector’s will) and the respective reception of said radio-waves by a directional antenna pointing the direction and, finally, the accurate spot where the cell phone is found. Purpose: to be used by persons in need (alpinists, lost children and aged people) as well as by persecution authorities for detecting criminals; to locate cell phones in areas where use is prohibited (see, secret meetings, correctional institutions, hospitals, churches, exam rooms etc); to locate cell phones being stolen or lost or used as wiretapping arrangements. Advantages: no software programme installed in the cell phone, no co-operation with telecommunication providers and no substructure at the region under detection are required. |
