Disclosed in the present invention are a processing method, playing method and apparatus for streaming media data, which are used to solve the problems of complex processing progress, taking up more processing resources in the process of transforming an imported original container file into a unified format new container file in the prior art. The method comprises: receiving the imported original container file, said original container file contains original media data streaming; parsing the streaming media data of each frame from the original container file, and obtaining the offset position of the streaming media data in said original container file; writing the streaming media data of each frame, and the offset position of the streaming media data in said original container file into the payload section of a new container file; writing metadata of the new container file and metadata of original media data streaming of said original container file into the file head of the new container file. Thus, the processing complexity in the transform process is simplified, and the transform efficiency is improved.
