PURPOSE: A cylindrical secondary battery is provided to prevent leakage of an electrolyte by filling a space of an interface between a gasket and a safety vent and a lower part thereof by expanding a sealant which is added to the interface at specific temperature. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical secondary battery(100) comprises an electrolyte assembly(110) manufactured by rolling a positive electrode/separator/negative electrode, and a cylindrical can(200) in which electrolyte is filled. A cap assembly(300) mounted on an opened top of the cylindrical can comprises a safety vent(320) in which a specific notch is formed to be broken by gas of high pressure of a battery, a current interruptive member(600) blocking current at increasing inner pressure of a battery, combined with a lower part of a safety vent by welding, a gasket for a current blocking member surrounding an outer circumference of the current interruptive member, and a sealant(900) added to an interface between the safety vent and the gasket in order to prevent leakage from the interface. |
