<p>A power-assisted carriage provided with a vehicle frame on which an item can be placed, a drive wheel disposed on the vehicle frame, an operation handle with which a worker can input a drive force to the vehicle frame, a torque sensor for detecting the drive torque inputted to the vehicle frame from the operation handle, a controller for computing an assistance force in accordance with the drive torque, and an electric motor for applying the assistance force to the drive wheel, wherein the controller is provided with a current determination unit for determining whether a current having a magnitude that is equal to or greater than a first set value is continuously applied to the electric motor for a first set duration, and a current control unit for reducing the maximum value of the current that can be supplied to the electric motor relative to the first set value on the basis of the determination of the current determination unit.</p> |
