<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary shaft supporting structure having improved startability by reducing resistance torque (initial torque) at start-up. <P>SOLUTION: A supporting structure of a rotary shaft 1 having a thrust collar 5 is provided. The rotary shaft 1 is rotatably supported by one radial foil bearing 8, and the thrust collar 5 of the rotary shaft 1 is rotatably supported by one or a pair of thrust foil bearings 9. The thrust foil bearing 9 preferably includes an annular bearing part disposed opposing the thrust collar 5 and an annular base part, of the bearing part, which is disposed opposing to a surface on an opposite side to a surface opposed to the thrust collar 5 and supports the bearing part during rotation of the rotary shaft 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
