<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile map display device and a display control method for the mobile map display device in which map display is performed which matches with the recognition of a user, according to the display direction of a screen in a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile map display device which displays a map on a display section includes: a setting section which sets a first screen display in which a predetermined direction in the display section runs vertically, and a second screen display in which the predetermined direction runs horizontally; an azimuth acquiring section which acquires an azimuthal angle to which the reference direction of an own device is oriented; and a control section which displays the map so that the direction coinciding with the azimuthal angle has the upper direction in a display on the display section, based on the setting in the setting section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
