<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulb type lighting device capable of effectively discharging heat generated from a light-emitting body. <P>SOLUTION: A bulb type lighting device includes a light-emitting body having a semiconductor light-emitting element, a holder for mounting the light-emitting body, a cover member for covering the light-emitting body and the holder, a radiator for mounting an opening end of the cover member and discharging heat generated from the light-emitting body.
