The present invention relates to apparatuses and methods for producing stereophonic or pseudo-stereophonic signals. In particular, the interrelations between spatial and technical parameters are examined and new ways of optimizing said parameters are proposed. Furthermore, inverse problems are applied in an unexpected manner to optimization problems pertaining to the conversion. The invention is relevant particularly to the encoding of audio signals. |
