<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce variation in lighting timing when a PWM dimming signal is switched from an OFF period to an ON period in a light-emitting element lighting circuit which has diode characteristics and performs burst dimming with the PWM dimming signal and an illumination device provided with the circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting element lighting circuit comprises: a dimming signal generation unit (100) which generates a dimming signal and a lights-out signal; a dimming signal conversion unit (52) which generates a PWM dimming signal or a lights-out pulse signal according to output of the dimming signal generation unit; a minute electric current generation circuit (C1) which flows minute electric current I<SB POS="POST">min</SB>which slightly emits a light-emitting element when the PWM dimming signal is in the OFF period; and a minute electric current stop circuit (D1) which stops flowing of current to the light-emitting element, including the minute electric circuit, according to input of the lights-out pulse signal. This configuration significantly reduces variation in lighting timing when the light-emitting element is slightly emitted in the OFF period of the PWM dimming signal and the signal is switched to the ON period next, and saves lights-out power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
