<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable electric apparatuses capable of performing trickle charging while activating inactivated cells as well as capable of reducing the charging power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The rechargeable electric apparatuses is configured so that, in a first trickle charge, the charging is performed at a charge current value necessary for charging while activating inactivated cells, and in the second trickle charge or later, the charging is performed at a charge current value necessary for supplementing natural discharge from the cells (at a smaller charge current value than that in the first trickle charge). Therefore, in the first the trickle charge, the charging can be performed while activating the inactivate cells. Also, since it is configured so that, in the second trickle charge, the charging is performed at a charge current value necessary for supplementing the natural discharge from the cells, the power consumption necessary for charging is reduced compared to a conventional manner in which the trickle charge is continued at a constant current value necessary for charging while activating the inactivate cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
