<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device which adjusts the ratio of a transmission region in each switchable region and moves a barrier region, thereby being capable of minimizing flicker felt by a viewer who has changed his/her position, and to provide a driving method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display device comprises: a display panel which emits a two-dimensional image; a switchable panel which has plural switchable regions, and is located on the display panel to switch the two-dimensional image to a three-dimensional image; a voltage application unit which applies voltage to the switchable panel to divide each switchable region into a barrier region and a transmission region; and a control unit which controls the voltage application unit to adjust the position of the switchable region and the width of the barrier region within each switchable region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
