<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller retainer, in which the wear of a bearing outer peripheral end in each thrust roller and an outer peripheral edge in a bearing ring can be reduced, and a thrust roller bearing provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The roller retainer 5 includes a pair of annular portions 50, 51 disposed on a common central axis O and mutually juxtaposed on inner and outer peripheral sides with a predetermined gap, and a plurality of connecting portions 52 which mutually connect the pair of annular portions 50, 51 and are juxtaposed around the central axis O to form a pocket 53 for rotatably holding a thrust roller 4 with the pair of annular portions 50, 51. The pocket 53 is formed by a through-hole having a trapezoidal planar shape composed of an upper side a which is made up of the annular portion 51 on the bearing outer peripheral side and is longer than the diameter of the thrust roller 4, a lower side b which is made up of the annular portion 50 on the bearing inner peripheral side and is longer than the upper side a, and a pair of lateral sides c, d which connect both ends of the upper side a and the lower side b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
