An oxide ceramics sintered compact comprises three kinds of phases of cordierite, mullite, and sapphirine as crystal phases is characterized in that, with a sum of contents of MgO, Al2O3, and SiO2 being 100 mass %, it contains MgO of not less than 12 mass % and 14 mass % or less, Al2O3 of not less than 34 mass % and 39 mass % or less, and SiO2 of not less than 47 mass % and 51 mass % or less, and a content of a substance except MgO, Al2O3, and SiO2 is less than 1.5 mass % of the whole sintered compact.
