<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system of water self-sustained operation type which is free of environmental pollution caused by discharge condensed water containing chromium or other harmful matter to the outside of the system, and is also possible of facility downsizing and simplification, making it excellent in safety and economy. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises: a heat exchange reforming unit 20 including a reformer which reforms hydrocarbon raw gas to hydrogen-rich fuel gas; a fuel cell body 10 which generates electricity by chemical reaction of the hydrogen-rich raw material gas obtained by the reformer with air as oxidation gas via a solid electrolyte layer; and a self-sustaining water supply system 80 which cools exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell body 10 to generate condensed water and also guides the generated condensed water into the reformer. The self-sustaining water supply system 80 includes: a purifier 82, having ion exchange resin in a vertical cylindrical container housed therein, introduces from the top of the cylindrical container the condensed water generated by cooling the exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell body 10 and discharges it from the bottom of the cylindrical container; a discharge pump 83 disposed on the downstream side of the purifier 82; and an overflow pipe 87, consisting of a vertical pipe, which is disposed between the purifier 82 and the discharge pump 83. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
