<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling breathing. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method and a system (100) for controlling breathing of a patient (101). The system for controlling breathing of the patient includes a respiratory conduit (120). The respiratory conduit is configured to be coupled to a patient interface device (102) and is further configured to be coupled to a pressurized air generating device (130). The respiratory conduit includes at least two air flow control devices, positioned between the patient interface device and the pressurized air generating device.
