<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage flux flaw detection apparatus in which, when performing flaw detection on a surface layer part of a thick steel material, a magnetization level in the surface layer part of the thick steel material is increased without enlarging a magnetizer in order to scan the magnetizer on the stopped thick steel material, and a magnetic sensor detects a leakage flux from a defect in the surface layer part at a high S/N. <P>SOLUTION: A leakage flux flaw detection apparatus comprises a moving wagon installed for scanning a magnetizer, and magnetic flux convergence plates in the vicinity of magnetic poles of the magnetizer. Thus, when performing flaw detection on a surface layer part of a thick steel material, a magnetization level in the surface layer part of the thick steel material is increased without enlarging the magnetizer in order to scan the magnetizer on the stopped thick steel material, and a magnetic sensor detects a leakage flux from a defect in the surface layer part at a high S/N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
