<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a special receptacle capable of detecting a special plug having a structure connectable even to a standard USB receptacle conforming to USB2.0 or USB3.0. <P>SOLUTION: A special receptacle 100 is configured to have a predetermined space 50, corresponding to a space in a USB3.0 receptacle to which a USB2.0 plug does not reach, in the special receptacle 100 when the USB2.0 plug is fitted in the USB3.0 receptacle. Even when the USB2.0 plug is fitted in the special receptacle 100, the USB2.0 plug does not reach the predetermined space 50.
