Disclosed is a method for displaying contents. A method for displaying contents according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving, from an external device, initial scene configuration information on contents written in markup language; analyzing and structuring the initial scene configuration information; rendering the contents according to the structured initial scene configuration information; receiving additional scene configuration information on the contents from the external device; updating the structured initial scene configuration information on the basis of the received additional initial scene configuration information; and rendering the contents according to the updated initial scene configuration information.
