The cryostat (1) has a cryostat container (2) having cryostat inner space, and a disinfection unit (5) which is provided for disinfecting a surface in the cryostat inner space. The disinfection unit has a cold plasma generator for producing cold plasma and for pressurizing the to-be-disinfected surface. The cold plasma generator has a plasma nozzle (13) from which cold plasma is emerged. A motorized carriage is provided for moving the plasma nozzle towards the to-be-disinfected surface.
