<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem of a toner prone to be influenced by temperature and humidity environment change with regard to a charge amount and a start-up of the charge amount to cause image density fluctuation at printing, and specifically in high temperature and high humidity surroundings, to cause a deficiency such as image fog due to uneven charge amount distribution. <P>SOLUTION: A toner contains a toner particle obtained by dispersing a monomer composition including a polymerizable monomer and a coloring agent in an aqueous medium to form a droplet, and then polymerizing the polymerizable monomer in the droplet. The toner includes a polymer formed by a polymerization reaction of the polymerizable monomer and a metal compound having a vinyl group in the toner particle.
