<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fault tolerance for reducing complexity. <P>SOLUTION: Fault tolerance operation for a primary match server instance of a financial exchange uses a backup match server for mirroring operation in a primary match server. A fault tolerant logic monitors inputs and outputs of the primary match server, and gates the inputs to the backup match server after a certain given input is processed. Next, the fault tolerant logic compares an output of the backup match server with an output of the primary match server. Further, the fault tolerant logic relates to a fault tolerant failover mechanism for making the backup match server inherit the primary match server in a failure state, wherein the primary match server is connected loosely to the backup match server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
