<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control deterioration of exhaust emission, while promptly carrying out warming-up of a purifying catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: When warming up of the purifying catalyst is demanded (S120), a vehicle stops (S130), and when engine request power Pe* is not less than a prescribed power Pref (S140), the warmup control to perform warming-up of the purifying catalyst is executed (S150-S170), while outputting the request power Pe* from an engine (load operation), and when the vehicle stops and the requested power Pe* is less than the prescribed power Pref, the warmup control to perform warming-up of the purifying catalyst is executed, while carrying out independent driving of the engine by idling rotation speed Nidle (S200-S220).
