<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize recording quality by immediately performing ink ejection operation for recording through flushing. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device includes: an ink ejection part which includes a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink and reciprocates in the first direction; a plurality of set trays which has a setting surface having a material to be recorded set, relatively move with respect to the ink ejection part in the second direction crossing the first direction and are arranged to be lined up in one direction; a flushing part provided in a position between the plurality of set trays; and a control part which controls the ink ejection operation and the flushing operation of the ink ejection part.
