<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a crowned roller by making an oil film hard to be cut in an area of a straight portion of the roller. <P>SOLUTION: A relief groove 16 dented in a circumferential direction is provided on a wall surface of a pillar section 9 of a pocket 8 of a retainer 7 for housing the crowned roller 6, and the relief groove 16 is formed so that the axial length thereof is larger than the axial length of the straight portion 6a of the roller 6. According to this, dust such as metal abrasion powder mixed to lubricating oil can be prevented from staying in the pocket 8 while sufficiently securing the oil film thickness in the straight portion 6a of the roller 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
