<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination device and a ticket examination method that a user can comfortably use. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic ticket examination device includes a door, an opening/closing mechanism, read means, passage determination means, and passage control means. The door stops a user from passing in a closed state. The opening/closing mechanism includes a function for controlling the strength of force applied for closing the door. The read means reads ticket information, including age information on the user, out of a storage medium that the user has. The passage determination means makes a passage determination on the basis of the ticket information read by the read means. The passage control means determines the strength of door closing force for closing the door on the basis of the age information on the user included in the ticket information, and controls the opening/closing mechanism so as to close the door with the door closing force of the determined strength when the passage determination means determines that passage is disallowed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
