<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester pellet excellent in reusage, excellent in transparency, little in coloration, and suitably usable for substrate films in CPU applications (central processing unit) of personal computers, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester pellet is obtained by using a polyester recovered and satisfying the following (1) condition, and satisfies the following (2) and (3) conditions. (1) The moisture amount in the recovered polyester is ≤500 ppm. (2) The intrinsic viscosity of the polyester pellet is 0.4 to 0.7 dl/g.
