The device (10) has worm gears (1, 2) rotating in same direction (x) and comprising separate drives i.e. continuously adjustable drive motors, where an axial distance between the worm gears is large such that the worm gears are not combed with one another. One of the worm gears has outer diameter (A) that is reduced conically over length (L) of the worm gear. The worm gears comprise worm gear sections, and are operated with different rotational speeds, where a rotating position of the worm gears is adjusted between 0 and 180 degrees to each other. An independent claim is also included for an extrusion method.
