PURPOSE: A thermal barrier coating layer with vertical cracks and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to thermal stability of a top coating layer by forming vertical cracks in the coating layer and correcting the differences of coefficient of thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION: A base material is blasted. A coating layer is formed on the base material using coating materials. The base material is cooled. Plasma thermal treatment is applied to the surface of the cooled top coating layer to form cracks in the top coating layer. The plasma thermal treatment is implemented for 10 times or less at the interval of 1 second. The moving speed of a plasma gun is less than 500mm/s. The distance between the plasma gun and a target is less than 180mm. |
