PURPOSE: A torque converter for a vehicle is provided to prevent abrasion by reducing friction with a compressed coil spring and a piston. CONSTITUTION: A retaining plate(29) is combined with a piston(11). Compression coil springs(21) are arranged at a retaining plate. Spring seats are arranged at both ends of the compression coil springs for supporting the compressed coil spring. A connecting plate(35) is arranged between the compression coil springs. A driven plate(33) provides reaction force against the compression coil springs. The driven plate is combined with a turbine. A connecting plate comprises a hook part(41) and a connection part(43). The hook part comprises a first extension part(41a), a second extension part(41b), a third extension part(41c), and a fourth extension part(41d).
