<p>PURPOSE: An antenna mapping selection method in an MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) wireless network and a device thereof are provided to effectively use various antenna mapping methods in an MIMO wireless device including multiple beam forming antennas. CONSTITUTION: Beam selectors(314) select an antenna mapping from multiple antenna mapping methods. The selected antenna mapping includes the combination of selected antenna beams from multiple antenna beams related to the antenna and a wireless frequency chain. A calibration unit(318) calibrates the selected antenna mapping. A steering unit generates a steering matrix related to an antenna beam of the selected antenna mapping. A transmitter transmits a data packet to a second WTRU(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit)(320) using the steering matrix and the calibrated antenna mapping.
