摘要 PURPOSE: An electronic parking brake is provided to stably and smoothly operate the same by minimizing the total length, compactly combining a structure, and reducing rotation force which is generated by a motor. CONSTITUTION: An electronic parking brake(100) comprises a cylindrical drum(10), a pair of brake shoes(1,2), a motor(110), a cycloid reducer(120), and a spindle. The drum rotates with the wheel of a vehicle. A pair of brake shoes is installed inside the drum facing with the inner circumference of the drum and brakes the drum through friction with the inner side of the drum. The motor generates a driving force for braking. The cycloid reducer is connected to the motor. The spindle member rotates through the driving force amplified by the cycloid reducer. The spur gear assembly rotates through a rotation force which is delivered from the spindle member. The piston rotates by integrating one gear of the spur gear assembly by the outer circumference. The push rod straightly moves along with the rotation of the piston and pushed a pair of brake shoes towards the drum.
