A cable bracket unit of a parking brake for vehicles is provided to prevent moisture and debris from entering into the cable bracket unit without installing a damage prone boot by enclosing end portions of parking cables inside a drum and coupling the drum with a bolt, thereby protecting the parking cables while simplifying the assembly of parts. In a parking brake for vehicles having a drum(4) generating a braking force by pushing first and second shoes through operation of a lever unit(5), a cable bracket unit(8) connects end portions of parking cables(3) and the lever unit of the drum. The cable bracket unit has a cable housing bracket(9) entirely enclosing a drum section where the lever unit is projecting, and the section of parking cables hanging on the lever unit. A casing cap(12) is fitted into a parking cable inlet and encloses a predetermined segment of the parking cables exposing from the cable housing bracket. A coupling bolt(13) is coupled to the drum portion through the later surface of the cable housing bracket and maintains the fixing force. The casing cap has a cable protection tube(12a) for enclosing a predetermined length of the parking cables for protection of the cables. A link fixing tube(12b) has a triangular fixing protrusion(12c) disposed on an outer circumference. The link fixing tube is integrally extended from the cable protection tube. |
