Dry-cleaning solvents which are halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons containing up to 3 carbon atoms, such as perchloroethylene or trichloroethylene, are stabilized by the addition of stabilizing amounts of at least one alkoxyalkyl nitrile having up to 3 carbon atoms in the alkoxy and alkyl groups, and at least one epoxide containing up to 12 carbon atoms. Suitable stabilizers are specified. Other additives may also be present, such as phenols, e.g. p-cresol, alcohols, esters, amines and amides. U.S.A.
