The card has a processing unit (3) i.e. microprocessor, associated to a RAM (5) and to an antenna (6). The antenna exchanges data with an external device e.g. contactless card reader. The RAM has a storage zone (7) dedicated for the exchanged data. The processing unit secures the storage zone and stores the exchanged data in the storage zone. The processing unit is programmed for altering the data of the storage zone before a data transfer from the external device. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing a RAM of a chip card.
