<p>A motor boat that can have its key performance characteristics such as fuel efficiency, load carrying, speed, sea keeping ability, number of engines, horizontal stability and lateral stability quickly changed by varying the number of hulls of the boat. A bolted connection method is utilised to quickly add or remove hulls from the motor boat. This connection method uses beams that pass through each hull. At the point of entry into the hull, the hull curves inside and around the beam which is provided with a flexible material such as rubber or foam at these points. Bolts are then passed through the curved in hull and beam, securing the beam in place. Using this connection method the motor boat can be assembled and disassembled quickly. The beams and any smaller hulls can fit inside larger hulls for optimal storage and transportability.</p> |
