<p>The device (1) has a product supply (3) conveying a food product (5) along a conveyance direction (I) and supplying the food product to a cutting plane (7). A cutting knife is rotated and/or moved in the cutting plane. A product tray (9) i.e. continuous conveying belt, is provided downstream to the cutting knife in the conveyance direction. Slices (11) separated from the product fall on the product tray by using the cutting knife. The product tray is moved relative to the falling slices such that crash of the slices on the product tray is absorbed. An independent claim is also included for a method for cutting a food product.</p> |
