PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for parking control are provided to amend parking control for correct parking even though it is difficult to correctly recognize a parking space or surrounding obstacles. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for parking control comprises an image acquisition unit to acquire images taken by a camera while a vehicle is controlled to park in a parking space; a boundary line recognition unit to recognize boundary lines of the parking space though analyzing the acquired images; and a parking control amend unit, based on the boundary line recognition, to determine whether it is possible for the vehicle to be parked in the parking space and it is possible for the parking control to be completed in a normal state of parking within the boundary lines, and to amend the control to park the vehicle if determining that it is not possible for the parking control to be completed in a normal state.
