PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting heart beat is provided to improve the convenience of health management by wirelessly providing the information of heart beat measured from human body in a contactless state. CONSTITUTION: An impulse signal generating unit(110) produces an impulse radio signal with a cycle. A transmission unit(120) transmits the impulse radio signal generated from the impulse signal generating unit. A receiver(130) receives the impulse radio signal transmitted from the transmission unit. A calculation unit(150) calculates heart beat from a heart signal extracted from an impulse response analysis unit(140). A wireless communication unit(170) wirelessly transmits the heart beat information through a communications path. A remote terminal(200) processes the heart beat information transmitted from the wireless communications unit.
