PURPOSE: A trigger request transmission server, a trigger request transmission method, a communication network, and a terminal trigger method thereof are provided to trigger terminals as a group unit in a communication network for an MTC(Machine Type Communication). CONSTITUTION: An MTC server(140) receives a trigger request from an external server. The MTC server determines a trigger request transmission method based on communication network information and information included in the trigger request. The MTC server transmits the trigger requests based on the trigger request transmission method. An SMS(Short Message Service) entity receives the trigger request from the MTC server.
