New cinnamoylamino-isothiazoleanthrones and process for their manufacture

The invention comprises dyes of the formula where A is a benzene residue which may be substituted, e.g. by 1 to 3 halogens, or alkyl, alkoxy or nitro groups. The compounds are prepared by reacting 5-amino-1:9-isothiazoleanthrone with a halide of the formula A-CH=CH-COhal. Dyeings are achieved with these compounds either alone or in admixture with 5-benzoylaminoisothiazoleanthrone.
