PURPOSE: A nickel impregnated catalyst for selective cyclic opening reaction is provided to be used for improving process on cetane number of diesel fuel by lowering the content of ring compound component included in diesel oil light cycle oil(LCO). CONSTITUTION: A nickel impregnated catalyst for selective cyclic opening reaction is impregnated with nickel and one type or more of alkaline earth metal on the porous solid carrier. The sum of the impregnated nickel and one type or more of alkaline earth metal is 46-80 weight% based on the total weight.
