<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method for depositing sheet-shaped substrates (6), in particular printing materials, in a printing machine so as to form a stack. The device comprises a tray (10) for receiving the substrates, said tray having a tray surface (8) that is tilted about a first axis and about a second axis, relative to a horizontal.
