INTEGRATED STARTER-GENERATOR SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An ISG(Integrated Starter and Generator) system is provided to add a voltage control unit in between an ISG and an electric double layer capacitor to stabilize the voltage of the ISG system. CONSTITUTION: An ISG system includes an inverter(720) and a voltage control unit(730). The inverter is connected to an ISG(710) capable of functioning as both a motor and a power generator. The voltage control unit has both contact points on one end which are parallely connected to a DC-LINK of the inverter, and both contact points on the other end which are connected to an energy storage(740). The voltage control unit raises the voltage of the energy storage when the ISG functions as a motor. The voltage control unit steps down the DC-LINK voltage of the inverter when the ISG functions as a power generator.
