Method for repairing surface defect on fluid-flow machine component including titanium-containing basic material (7) involves mixing solder including titanium-containing alloy and powder in dispersed state, and basic material, such that solder is applied on fluid-flow machine component sites at which surface defects are present, introducing a predetermined quantity of heat into solder and fluid-flow machine component, such that alloy becomes liquid and moistens the sites, and then, cooling the solder, such that solder becomes rigid. An independent claim is included for fluid-flow machine component.
